When you wonder what we are really fighting for....

Two great links from my friend Jim in Houston.....

Check this out - When you wonder what we are really fighting for....

        http://www.usawakeup.org/America_Wake_Up.htm

Try this from Xerox.

If you go to this web site, http://www.letssaythanks.com/ , you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the Armed Services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one. Pass this on to your members and friends! This is a great site.
Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if our soldiers received bunches of these? Our TROOPS need to know we are behind them!

                                            Thanks Jim!

Subject: Dumb Soldier Ltr to Kerry

SENATOR JOHN KERRY
304 RUSSELL
SENATE OFFICE BUILDING
WASHINGTON DC 20510

Dear Senator Kerry:

We are still laughing over here in Iraq at your joke about the troops being dumb. We do recognize that you are a lot smarter than we are because you were able to get out of combat in three months. This is why we are seeking your advice. Please give us guidance.

1.) Where is the least painful area on the body to inflict a wound?
2.) Does it have to bleed or will a scratch do?
3.) Where do you get the forms to fill out recommending yourself for a Purple Heart?
4.) Do you need a witness? If so, how much does that cost?
5.) Are three Purple Hearts still good for a trip home?
6.) What is a realistic period of time in which to acquire these wounds? Less than three months sounds a little suspicious even to us.

Thanks for your help and keep the jokes coming.
Just a dumb g.i.

P.s....what advice can you give me on how to meet really rich women?

The Dems method to fix the North Korean crisis - nothing has changed but the names of the "leaders"...

Consider Nancy Pelosi & Howard Reid dealing with national security... Nothing has changed but the names of the "leaders"... same attitudes toward our enemies.  My guess is that the Dems method to fix the North Korean crisis won't have changed much since the "Glory Days" of the Clinton White House.

Observe the following video & tell me if you think anything has changed.....

Whatever It Takes....

SNIP>> This comes from my other Blog awhile back - "The Hangin' Tree".

To me all issues affecting the US of A hinge on the main issue – the national security & welfare of this great nation. Without a secure homeland, the other issues are meaningless.

"Torture"
How we treat our enemy combatants or “political prisoners” (whatever.) is secondary to finding the way to stop a bomb from going off in a US city (or a city of one our allies), and especially secondary to the safety of our soldiers in the line of duty.

In my humble opinion, if the enemy combatant's fingernails (or finger) have to come off, to obtain information that may save a hundred thousand or only a measly hundred people, so be it.

God forbid I am ever in that person’s shoes, but if it did happen to me, in the immortal words of Mel Gibson (as the character Martin Riggs in the movie Lethal Weapon):

"Guess we're in for a long night, 'cause I don't know s***.")

Kofi Annan is bashing the President - That's Rich....

Kofi Annan is bashing the President - that's rich.

Here is the man who has repeatedly quashed the bribery/corruption investigation of his own administration, especially as it reached his very door step, and that of his son Kojo.

You could say that Kofi Annan has violated at least three of his own "essential principles", you know: collective responsibility (Was he talking about the UN under his administration?), global solidarity (if you want nothing to happen), rule of law (Huh?), mutual accountability (What about the investigation into his son's business dealings that he put the kabash on?) and multilateralism (Yeah, like most of the Arab world working to support terrorism.)

Under Kofi's watch, the The UN has certainly lived up to the nickname someone recently assigned to it, i.e. The "Useless Nations".

See Ya Kofi, don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya.
